Registration/Certification Steps

New official candidates need to register with the NCHSAA. Your $26 Lacrosse registration fee should be waived if this is the first time that you have registered with the NCHSAA in any sport, but you will still have to pay the $31.00 liability insurance fee, and complete the security check.

Register with DragonFly (NFHS center for officials’ services) which includes:

Fees

Background Check

Concussion In Sports Seminar (every two years)

Attend new official’s clinics (held well in advance of the season over two-days).

Join remaining, weekly, local clinics in January/February.​ (Need 6 total)

Participate in three pre-season scrimmages.

Pass the on-line, open-book, NFHS rules test (score =>75%).
