Registration (think Certification) Steps

  1. New official candidates need to register with the NCHSAA.  Your $26 Lacrosse registration fee should be waived if this is the first time that you have registered with the NCHSAA in any sport, but you will still have to pay the $31.00 liability insurance fee, and complete the security check.

  2. Register with DragonFly (NFHS center for officials’ services) which includes:

    • Fees

    • Background Check

    • Concussion In Sports Seminar (every two years)

  3. Attend new official’s 10-hr classroom orientation clinic (held well in advance of the season over two-days).

  4. Attend six, weekly, local clinics in January/February.

  5. Participate in three pre-season scrimmages.

  6. Pass the on-line, open-book, NFHS rules test (score =>75%).
